Benchmarking soil health across Europe
The BSSS Invited Lecture at the 2023 Annual Conference was delivered by Rachel Creamer from Wageningen University. In light of the drive to improve soils across Europe, Rachel highlights the EU funded BENCHMARKS project and its work on a monitoring system for soil health that provides the much needed local context for land managers, while at the same time facilitating harmonisation at larger spatial scales.
